Dodge's new Charger Pursuit has a sixties-inspired livery, a 370 horsepower V8 with all-wheel drive, and all the gizmos Mopar could find on its shelves. It's not something you would want to mess with.

The Blues Brothers would love this, that's for sure. Go for the Hemi, and you get 370 horses with AWD. Go for the RWD V6, and you get 292 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque with E85 flex-fuel capability and up to 26 mpg highway.

The column-mounted shifter might feel a bit old fashioned, but it saves space for all the equipment in the cabin, of which there's a lot. A fully customizable 7-inch instrument gauge cluster, the hands-free Uconnect 5.0 system with a 5-inch touchscreen and Bluetooth is standard.

The steering wheel has been redesigned with illuminated and enlarged buttons, the front seats are police-duty, meaning they come with unique bolstering to accommodate officers' belt-mounted gear and without a shifter in the way, there are a bunch of center-console mounted controls in easy reach too.

The Charger Pursuit also comes with cop brakes and cop suspension, no kidding. Plus LEDs and a pair of powerful searchlights.

The base package also includes a 100-watt siren, emergency equipment electrical system wire harness integrating both the 24-way connector and the 12-pin connector, a power distribution center supplied from the battery with two 100-amp main fuses, a slide-out trunk tray with a 37.5-inch by 19-inch mounting surface for electrical and communications gear and trunk air-circulation for keeping all that gear from overheating.
